NFL Spread and O/U Picks: Hunter's Week 18 Best Bets
The final week of the regular season is here and, from a betting perspective, can be a total landmine in trying to figure out who is and is not playing for each team. Even teams electing to rest their starters still are restricted by roster sizes and can only truely rest so many players. Therefore, decisions need to be made in who matters and who doesn’t from a team point of view. Lines move harder off of news than any ‘off’ lines from sportsbooks.
Back-to-back weeks of minimal plays out of me. It took a minute to get over the heartbreak of the Broncos botching the cover, but in reflecting on the game after time, they were likely lucky to even be in that situation. The Bengals, however, tried their best time and time again to get the +3.5 home for us. First, Chase Brown slides down at the 1 to run out the clock but hurts himself in the process, which gave the Broncos almost two minutes and a timeout to work with. Then the Broncos initially elect to go for 2 and the win, but reconsider after the officials stop play for a review. In overtime, the Bengals elect to settle for a short-field goal for the win, but they shank it. Three chances for a cover, and three missed opportunities. Gross. Our week ultimately goes 2-2 for -.04 units.
