Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Week 3: Ride Derek Carr's Hot Streak

Only three quarterbacks threw for at least 300 yards in Week 2, continuing a trend of uninspiring performances early in the season. There were also just nine quarterbacks who finished with multiple touchdown passes. The week was led by Kyler Murray, who finished with 266 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and 59 rushing yards.

In terms of injuries, the most notable one was yet another concussion for Tua Tagovailoa. There is concern that he will able to play football again, let alone take the field again anytime soon. Those who drafted Tagovailoa will likely now find themselves among the group of fantasy managers who will look to stream the quarterback position on a weekly basis.

Week 2 Recap

Baker Mayfield came through for streamers again, finishing at QB5. He no longer qualifies for this column because he is now rostered in 67% of Yahoo leagues. We had another hit with Daniel Jones, who finished as QB6. He recorded two touchdown passes versus the Commanders, marking just the second time since the start of the 2023 season that he finished with at least two passing touchdowns in a game.

Gardner Minshew II and Malik Willis weren’t flops, but neither was very valuable, either. Minshew didn’t produce a gaudy stat line, but he led the Raiders to an upset victory over the Ravens. Willis did at least help managers in deep leagues, thanks in part to him turning six carries into 41 yards.
