12 Fantasy Football Stash Candidates Ahead of Week 5
What makes a player stash-worthy? These guys may be potential league winners at some point in the future, whether next week or a handful of weeks down the road.
Editor's Note: Check out the Week 5 Waiver Wire Watch!
I’m looking at all kinds of stashable guys in the event the player above them on the depth chart is on shaky ground, might be nursing an injury, or possibly a matchup-based situation in the weeks ahead. Clear out those benches, and make room for these up-and-comers.
Ty Chandler, RB - Vikings (33% rostered)
Ty Chandler had 28 touches through the first three games, but only saw four last week, likely due to the Aaron Jones revenge game in Green Bay. He’s a talented back behind an aging RB with an injury history and is also on one of the highest-scoring offenses so far in 2024. Stash him if you can.
Jerry Jeudy, WR - Browns (48% rostered)
The Browns passing game hasn’t been very exciting or particularly productive in 2024 as they have yet to put up more than 18 points but Jerry Jeudy is averaging 7.5 targets per game which is encouraging. What is even more intriguing for stash purposes is Cleveland’s schedule up until their Week 10 bye. Jeudy will face four teams in a row that sit 21st or worse in aFPA to opposing WRs. If he and Deshaun Watson can get on the same page it could be a fruitful run for Jeudy for those in need of WR bodies.
