Warriors Take on Knicks on TNT
The Warriors at Knicks are set for a 7:30 pm ET matchup on TNT tonight. It's a quick turnaround for the Warriors who beat the Hornets 119-101 last night. Golden State is 33-28 while the Knicks are 40-20. The Knicks are favored (-4.5) at home and hold a three-game winning streak. The Knicks have been getting great production out of Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns which has helped them get to the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference. Brunson is averaging 26.1 points and 7.4 assists per game while Towns is scoring 24.5 points and grabbing 13.4 rebounds.
For the Warriors, they added Jimmy Butler a few weeks ago and have been playing much better as they have an 8-1 record with him on the court. Stephen Curry leads the team with 24.0 points per game along with 6.2 assists. He is shooting 39.5% from downtown and over 92% from the free-throw line.
Suns Battle the Clippers
Following the Warriors-Knicks, we have a Western Conference battle between the Clippers and Suns at 10 pm ET on TNT. The Suns have been an absolute mess as they are 28-33 despite having two players that are top 10 in the league in scoring (Durant, Booker). Phoenix is 2-8 in its last 10 games and 3.5 games out of the No. 10 seed which is the final spot in the NBA Play-In Tournament. For the season, Kevin Durant is averaging 26.7 points per game while Devin Booker is scoring 26.0.
The Clippers are 32-28 and fighting to get back into a top 6 seed in the Western Conference so they can avoid the play-in tourney. Currently, the Clippers are 32-28 which puts them a half game behind the Warriors for the 6th spot in the conference. James Harden is averaging 21.6 points and 8.5 assists per game but his shooting percentages haven't been great. Harden is 38.8% from the field and 33.8% from downtown.
