DFS Strategy for UFC Vegas 82: Allen vs Craig
The UFC returns to the Apex for its latest Fight Night, headlined by Brendan Allen and Paul Craig. This card offers a wide variety of salary plays, mainly due to some late-notice replacements. A number of debut fighters will add variance to this week’s slate largely due to fighting low-level competition and being untested. Let’s take a look at which fighters we are targeting this week.
Premium Plays ($9000 and Above)
Brendan Allen $9400
Allen comes into this fight with a bunch of momentum. Stylistically this matchup is in his favor as he is the younger fighter with better striking and better cardio. From a grappling standpoint, Allen will have the wrestling advantage and be able to control where the fight takes place. On the ground, Allen will have to be aware of Craig’s submissions but Allen is good enough to submit Craig as well. The biggest complaint with Allen is that he can be too hittable and he doesn’t always respond the best to headshots. I don’t see that as a problem in this matchup with Craig. Outside of a Hail Mary submission, I don’t see a way for Craig to win this.
