Harbaugh on Flacco's ankle injury

Joe Flacco rolled his right ankle in third quarter of the Ravens' 20-17 win over the Steelers last night, and looked to be moving gingerly at times during the rest of the game.

The second-year quarterback initially injured the foot/ankle against the Vikings back on Oct. 18, and he appeared to aggravate the injury on a sack by Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley last night.

He had the ankle taped by team trainers and didn't miss any action, but it certainly looked like he was having trouble moving in the pocket down the stretch.

Flacco hasn't been at his best the last few weeks, missing on deep balls and struggling to find an overall rhythm in the passing game.

Head coach John Harbaugh said today that he isn't sure if the ankle injury has directly led to Flacco's recent drop in performance, but acknowledged that it might be something which is affecting his quarterback on gamedays.

"I think Joe's done a heck of a job of fighting through a bit of an ankle," Harbaugh said. "It's not a major injury, but I'm sure it's bothersome for a quarterback to have that foot a little bit sore.
