He will certainly miss Thursday’s game against the Texans, and likely a few weeks after. The Colts and Texans are tied atop the AFC South at 6-4. Wilkins is dealing with an ankle injury so Williams looks poised to take over the main back duties with Hines a change of pass and passing-down option.

Wilkins was seen jogging gingerly following a run in the third quarter, the story said. The Colts backfield will continue to be led by Mack while Hines and Williams serve as backups.

The Colts had no intention of trying to get into a high-scoring game through the air against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. They would have probably lost if they had tried.

What Indianapolis did was potentially layout a blueprint to beat the Chiefs, who suffered their first loss of the season. The Colts ran, ran some more and ran even more to keep Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs offense on the sideline in their upset victory. The Colts rushed for 180 yards on 45 attempts.

The Colts had the ball 15 more minutes than the Chiefs this past Sunday night and rushed for more yards than they passed for, according to the story. Mack had a 29-132-0 line while Wilkins got seven carries for 28 yards. Meanwhile, Hines caught four balls for 46 yards and had five targets.

Frank Reich also says RB Marlon Mack (ankle) and WR Parris Campbell (abdominal) will be monitored throughout the practice week.

Bremer added in another tweet that Mack wasn't ruled out with the ankle injury against the Raiders, but instead Hines was on the field because the team was playing from behind and in hurry-up mode. While it's good news Mack could have played, fantasy owners want a back on the field in those situations, so it's something to monitor going forward.
