Carolina Panthers superstar running back Christian McCaffrey is officially listed as doubtful for Week 15.

Fantasy Impact:

As feared, fantasy managers who were able to make it to the semifinals without McCaffrey will have to contend with him sidelined for at least one more week. CMC was electric in the games he was active, but this amounts to a lost season for the number one overall pick in fantasy football. Mike Davis can be fired up again, this time against a Green Bay Packers defense that has struggled against running backs. Davis is our 12th ranked running back for Week 15.

Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (thigh) did not practice Wednesday. He's expected to miss Week 15 which means Mike Davis will be a low-end RB1 against the Packers.

Fantasy Impact:

Head Coach Matt Rhule has already declared that he does not expect McCaffrey to suit up in Week 15. It's a big blow for those hoping to have CMC back for the fantasy playoffs. Mike Davis will continue to head the Carolina backfield while McCaffrey sits out what has been a disappointing season for him.

Matt Rhule does not expect running back Christian McCaffrey to play Saturday at Green Bay.

Fantasy Impact:

Things were trending this way on Monday. Davis will continue to run as the team's RB1 in Week 15 as the Panthers play at Green Bay on Saturday night. The hope for fantasy owners is McCaffrey is back for Week 16, but at this point there isn't much need to get CMC back on the field if you're the Panthers.

The tweet went on to say Rhule said on video conference call that McCaffrey is coming in for rehab Monday. Voth also added in his tweet he knows many people disagree the Panthers are planning to play McCaffrey again this season, which likely comes from frustrated fans - and fantasy owners. Davis will continue to run as the team's RB1 as long as McCaffrey is out of the lineup.

Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (not injury related) took full practice reps Friday. He was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list so it was good for him to get in a full practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos. He's an appealing Sneaky Start given his recent production and the absence of both Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore.
