Washington decided to put an end to the weekly question about Jordan Reed’s health.

The oft-injured tight end was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, along with running back Byron Marshall, and linebacker Chris Carter.

As we pointed out before Week 14, with the return of Paul, Davis hasn't done much in terms of fantasy production even with Reed out at the TE position. Bibbs looks like he'll replace Marshall as the team's RB2 behind Perine.

Redskins RB Samaje Perine (finger) is questionable, but is expected to play.

Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hamstring) is out. Vernon Davis continues to be a great start.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (migraine) did not practice on Wednesday and is questionable vs. the Redskins. Hopefully, we'll get an update tomorrow morning.

Chargers WRs Travis Benjamin (abdomen) and Mike Williams (knee) were both limited on Wednesday and questionable vs. Cowboys. Tyrell Williams is a decent dart throw if one or both are out.

Redskins WR Ryan Grant (calf) was limited on Wednesday and is questionable vs. the Giants.

Cowboys K Dan Baliey (groin) is listed as questionable but is expected to return this week.

Samaje Perine, the rookie fourth-round pick, is now the Redskins’ most experienced back.

Chris Thompson (leg) and Rob Kelley (ankle) both have been placed on injured reserve during the last week. Mack Brown, who opened on the active roster, had to be cut to make room for an offensive line dealing with injuries to four starters. Matt Jones was released in the final cuts. Keith Marshall tore his ACL early in training camp.

That leaves Perine. The Redskins signed Byron Marshall a week ago off Philadelphia’s practice squad. They do have LeShun Daniels on the practice squad and could promote him.

The story said Marshall is expected to play on third downs because he's a former WR and has experience running routes and catching passes. But, it's going to be tough to expect Marshall to help in pass blocking. Perine should get a majority of the early down runs from this point forward. The story pointed out that outside of two games, the Skins won't face a lot of tough rushing defenses which will surely make Perine a popular pickup off the wire this week.

Washington placed RB Rob Kelley on IR.

Earlier today the team signed RB Marshall off its practice squad after the team got him off the Eagles practice squad. Perine had 10 touches against the Vikings last week, but he'll split time with Thompson, who is probably the better fantasy option. Marshall may mix in as well.

Rough Sunday for Redskins RB Rob Kelley: After tests this morning, Kelley was diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain AND a grade 1/2 MCL sprain in his knee.

Unofficial reports say at least four weeks for each injury, but it could certainly be longer than that. IR is definitely a possibility for Kelley. Perine should take over the early-down work in Washington for the next couple of weeks at least. Thompson will keep his third-down and change-of-pace role.

Rob Kelley appeared to suffer a leg injury as he was tackled late in the first quarter. He was declared questionable to return with a knee/ankle injury, but downgraded to doubtful in the third quarter.

It doesn't look like Kelley is going to return this week so Perine and Thompson will look to split the workload. Reports say Kelley got rolled up on so we'll have to monitor how serious it is heading into next week.

Rob Kelley is still recovering from an ankle injury he suffered against the Chiefs on Oct. 2. However, he has looked good while practicing on a limited basis this week. If he can’t go, it seems likely that Samaje Perine will start in his place.

Chris Thompson is the fantasy running back to start in Washington. With a Monday night game, find a better Sunday option, as neither Kelley nor Samaje Perine provide much upside in Week 7.
