Rams uncertain if Jared Goff will play in Week 17

The Rams are uncertain about whether or not QB Jared Goff will be able to play in Week 17 against the Cardinals after suffering a right thumb injury during Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks.

Fantasy Impact:

Goff will undergo further testing when the Rams return to Los Angeles but he already looks questionable for what basically amounts to a playoff game against the Cardinals in Week 17, as the winner clinches a playoff spot (though the Rams would clinch even with a loss of the Bears lose to the Packers, who will be fighting for the No. 1 seed). If Goff can’t go, John Walford, a third-year player from Wake Forest) would be in line to start for the Rams.

Eagles ruled out WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) for Sunday against the Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
