The Eagles announced that rookie wide receiver Jalen Reagor will be placed on injured reserve and miss multiple games due to a torn ligament in his thumb.

As if the Eagles offense needed fewer weapons to work with. Reagor has not produced big fantasy numbers to this point but has shown his speed and ability as a deep threat in his first two games on a couple of big catches. Philadelphia will have to roll with DeSean Jackson and a heavy dose of Miles Sanders, Zach Ertz, and Dallas Goedert on Sunday when they take on the Bengals.

According to Zach Berman on Twitter, Philadelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver was able to get in a full practice on Thursday.

Wow. Barring any setbacks, this will put Reagor on track to play against Washington in Week 1. The Eagles may look to reduce his snaps, especially on running downs, but expect the Eagles to dial up some plays for their rookie playmaker if he does indeed suit up. A full practice on a Thursday suggests that Reagor has a very good chance to make his NFL debut this Sunday. His practice participation tomorrow should determine his availability for Week 1.

This is a great sign that Reagor is on track to beat the initial four-week timetable given for his recovery from a minor labrum tear in his shoulder. It is unlikely the Eagles rush Reagor back to play on Sunday, but his return to practice suggests he will be back for Week 2 against the Rams.

Reagor was supposed to miss the first two weeks of the season, but it looks like he could be good to go for Week 2, according to Clark. The Eagles will go with DeSean Jackson, Greg Ward and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside for Week 1, but Reagor likely cuts into Arcega-Whiteside's targets upon his return.

My offensive MVP award goes to John Hightower. The rookie receiver has done well all camp and could move up the depth chart if Jalen Reagor is sidelined for an extended period. Hightower got wide open over the middle on an inside slant and Hurts hit him for an easy score. The catch of the day, and perhaps all of camp, came a period later when Hightower ran a stop-and-go fade route into the corner of the end zone.

Reagor is expected to miss four weeks according to reports, which likely puts him on the sidelines for Weeks 1 and 2. If that extends, Hightower could benefit the most. The Eagles are finding themselves in a familiar situation at the WR position as they continue to drop to injury. Hightower could find his way into the top three competing with DeSean Jackson, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Greg Ward.
