The Jaguars placed tight end Marcedes Lewis on injured reserve/designated for return.

That will keep Lewis out for at least eight weeks, though he can begin practicing after six. That fits the time frame coach Gus Bradley announced earlier this week for Lewis, who suffered a high ankle sprain in Sunday’s loss to Washington.

The team is pretty shorthanded on offense now with Marquis Lee and Allen Robinson slated to start at WR and WRs Allen Hurns and Cecil Shorts in question. Clay Harbor is next up on the depth chart at TE.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been outscored 75-10 since jumping out to a surprising 17-0 halftime lead at Philadelphia in the season opener.

Although the offense has ground to a halt, coach Gus Bradley said Monday, via The Florida Times-Union, Chad Henne will remain the starting quarterback for this week's game versus the Indianapolis Colts.

"There's going to be some changes," Bradley added, per the team's official Twitter feed. "If you're asking solely on the quarterback, that hasn't come up. ... Right now, Chad Henne's our starter."

Bradley told reporters that Henne has played well, but it's been a challenge to grade his performance with 14 sacks through two games.

It seems like it's only a matter of time before the team turns to Blake Bortles at QB - whether Henne is to blame for 10 points in the last game and a half or not. WR Allen Hurns is a question mark as is WR Cecil Shorts so the team could be looking at Marquis Lee and Allen Robinson starting this week. And the line hasn't opened many holes for RB Toby Gerhart so it's an offense to stay away from in terms of fantasy football.

Hurns is considered day-to-day with a sprained ankle. He was carried off the field and never returned to the game. He also dropped a pass where he was wide open in what ended up as an ugly loss to the Redskins. If Hurns can't go in Week 3, and Cecil Shorts remains out, the Jags WR duties fall on Marquis Lee and Allen Robinson, both rookies drafted back in May. Lee had just two catches in the game while Robinson was a lone bright spot catching four balls for 75 yards.

Rookie receiver Allen Hurns had quite a debut (four catches, 110 yards, two TDs). The question is whether he's a one-week wonder or a consistent performer. It's more likely to be the latter, because he has a better grasp of the offense than fellow rookies Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson since he played under OC Jedd Fisch at the University of Miami. Coach Gus Bradley said Hurns would be the Jaguars' No. 2 receiver when/if Cecil Shorts III returns because of his comfort level with the offense.

If Bradley is to be believed, Hurns should be fantasy relevant as long as he gets starter's snaps. If he's still available on the waiver wire, especially in deep leagues, owners would be wise to add him quickly.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will open up their 2014 season against the Eagles minus a wide receiver.

Cecil Shorts was ruled out Saturday with a hamstring issue shortly before the team left for Philadelphia. The wideout left practice Thursday with tightness in the area and was limited in practice Friday.

Shorts also missed part of training camp with a hamstring injury.

Allen Robinson will now see increased time as a result with Marquis Lee starting on the opposite side. Allen Hurns could also contribute. Although risky, Lee would have the most potential of the three in a game the Jags are expected to trail in. We rank Lee 49th, so we see him safer in deeper leagues.
