Lions head coach Matt Patricia does not expect QB Matthew Stafford to play Sunday against the Cowboys.

Stafford still hasn’t practiced, so this isn’t a surprise. Jeff Driskel will get his second start for Detroit and Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones see their ceiling lowered with Driskel under center.

Stafford is likely headed toward missing another game in Week 11 with the injury. The Lions offense wasn’t as sharp, as expected, with Jeff Driskel at quarterback, who would get another start if Stafford cannot go. Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay would continue to be boom or bust plays with Driskel in. With the way Stafford had been battling throughout his career, this is obviously a tough injury for him. You start to wonder if the Lions will put the idea of shutting him down in the back of their heads, sitting at 3-5-1 and facing a tough game against the Cowboys in Week 11.

The NFL is going to look into the Stafford injury as he was listed as questionable most of the week until reports surfaced he was going to miss multiple weeks. Fantasy owners likely want answers too. Driskel looks like he'll get the start again in Week 11 against the Cowboys.
