Cowboys QB Andy Dalton is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. Dalton remains in concussion protocol.

Fantasy Impact:

Dalton was expected to miss Week 8, so this designation is no surprise.

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy told reporters Friday that QB Andy Dalton has to practice Saturday in order to be considered available for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Dalton is currently in concussion protocol.

Fantasy Impact:

Rapoport said Dalton is feeling better but his status for Week 8 is very much in question. Rapoport added it's going to be up to the independent doctors to make the call on Dalton and we likely won't know more until later in the week. The Cowboys play the Eagles on Sunday night in Week 8 so those looking to play Dalton in fantasy lineups will need a backup plan. DiNucci is next up but it would be even more of a downgrade for Cowboy playmakers and their owners.

After a miserable day that included three interceptions and just 98 passing yards, the Patriots have benched QB Cam Newton in favor of Jarrett Stidham.

Fantasy Impact:

The 49ers rattled Newton all day and it was easily the worst performance of the season for Newton as the Patriots are headed toward a 2-4 start, being down 33-6.

Cowboys QB Andy Dalton left Sunday's game against Washington after taking a shot to the head.

Fantasy Impact:

Rookie Ben DiNucci is now in for the Cowboys. Washington LB Jon Bostic was ejected for the hit. The season just gets worse for the Cowboys in what was already a miserable day in Washington. QB Garrett Gilbert was signed to the active roster but was inactive for today. We'll keep an eye on Dalton in the coming days. For now, Dallas' offense takes a major hit.
