Terrance West becomes presumed starting running back for Ravens after surprise release of Justin Forsett. Javorius Allen is the only other healthy and experienced running back.

The Ravens beat writers called Forsett the "presumed starter" all summer, so this move comes out of left field, though it does make some sense since the Ravens are not expected to contend for a Super Bowl this season. In the preseason, West rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries (4.0 YPC), while Allen gained a measly 43 yards on 21 totes (2.0 YPC) after averaging 3.8 YPC last year. He's a fine pass-catcher, however, so the duo could form a tandem while Dixon (22 carries, 107 yards, 4.9 YPC) gets healthy.
