Seahawks RB Chris Carson (hip) expected back Week 5

Coach Pete Carroll said he expects Chris Carson (hip) to return for Week 5 against the Rams, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

Fantasy Impact:

Carson was a game-time call but was a surprise scratch this past week. Davis took over as the lead back ahead of Penny and scored two TDs while going over 100 yards. It's expected Carson would slide back into the lead-back role, but it's certainly a more muddied picture with Davis now included.

This puts Schoonmaker more or less in TE streaming consideration, but there are far better options this week, which puts him low on the totem pole.

Eagles ruled out WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) for Sunday against the Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
