It’s Week 7 and these are my DraftKings cash game and tournament strategies. By offering a general approach to the week, along with a player pool to consider, you should walk away feeling well-equipped no matter your bankroll strategy or game selection process.
Main Slate Cash Game Strategy
With salaries continuing to tighten up and only 10 games on the main slate, expect a smaller-than-usual player pool this week. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing—when there aren’t many glaring values, lineups tend to have far less overlap.
Quarterback
As salaries continue to tighten up, paying down at quarterback becomes an increasingly attractive option. This week, Joe Flacco ($5,400) is at home against a Saints defense that ranks 31st in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed (aFPA) to quarterbacks, surrendering the second-most fantasy points per attempt to opposing passers. For a Baltimore team that throws at the fourth-highest rate in neutral game script, that increase in efficiency makes Flacco a top-two value at his position. Favored by two in a game with an over/under currently sitting at 50, the Ravens are projected for a season-high 26 points.
