IDP Waiver Wire: Week 16 Pickups and Matchup Plays

We are here and, hopefully, you have made it to Championship Week. Like most fantasy seasons, this one hasn't been any different, as we've gone with the ebbs and flows of production from the positions and have dealt with injuries and inconsistent play. Hopefully, you've navigated the wire and avoided most of the major injuries and are battling for your league's championship. So, with Week 16 in our sights, let's see who we can target off the wire this week and a look at the matchup plays.

Week 16 IDP Waiver Wire

Defensive Line

Sam Hubbard, DE, Cincinnati Bengals (36 snaps/61 percent)

Hubbard is not only a pickup for this week, but for you dynasty folks, I'd try and get him for long-term value. He's coming off a big two-sack outing against Oakland and generated a 10.3 pressure rate. He's produced sacks in three of the last five games, and although he's facing an improved Browns offensive line, it looks like his snap usage is increasing, as he was in on 61 percent of the snaps.

Henry Anderson, DE, New York Jets (37 snaps/70 percent)

Hard not to say his performance was fluky. He had three sacks total leading into his three-sack game in Week 15. Over the last several weeks, he'd been generating consistent pressure, resulting in a 12.7 percent pressure rate over the last four games. He's typically in on their nickel packages, and faces a Packers team that might be shutting things down for the season. If he gets matched up on Lane Taylor, Anderson can pin his ears back and go to town. Taylor has been responsible for eight sacks and 35 total QB pressures.

Grady Jarrett, DT, Atlanta Falcons (48 snaps/71 percent)

Jarrett can be a menace to opposing QBs and he's a solid run stuffer up front. This season, he's been a pressure monster, generating an 11.6 percent pressure rate this season and has recorded three sacks over the last three games. Jarrett should lineup over the weaker side of Carolina's offensive line, putting him in a favorable position to produce this week.
