Streaming Tight Ends: Week 16 Targets

Virtual high fives, ladies and gents. We made it to championship week for most leagues, despite the train wreck at tight end this season.

As the season continues to progress and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. In Week 15, my best streamer was Jordan Reed, whose 8.8 half-PPR points finished the week as the fantasy TE13. So far, 4for4’s optimal streamer boasts 194.1 total points—good enough for the overall fantasy TE2 on the season.

Jordan Akins (Texans) vs. Bengals

We were hoping for a spike in usage and production with Will Fuller’s suspension, but that didn’t exactly pan out. Last week’s five catches for 50 yards was Jordan Akins’s highest output since Week 11, so there’s hope for decent streaming numbers on Sunday afternoon.

The Texans get a dream matchup at home against the Bengals, with their defense sitting 30th in TE aFPA through 15 weeks. If you’ve made it this far without a concrete tight end, what’s one more week, right? Akins is free in 94% of Yahoo! leagues. Hopefully, he can do enough to give you that victory.
