Harris English continued his hot play, shooting a 5-under 65 in the second round of the FedEx St. Jude Invitational. He gained another 2.5 strokes ball-striking on his way to a 36-hole score of 127. That is the second-lowest 36-hole total in WGC event history, only behind the 125 total by Tiger Woods at the 2000 WGC event at Firestone. Hot on his heels are challengers Abraham Ancer and Cameron Smith, who tied for the day's lowest round, each shooting an 8-under 62. Ancer, who was bogey-free for the 14th time this season, was positive in every strokes gained category, including gaining 3.5 putting.
