2021 Wyndham Championship: Round 3 Matchups
Halfway through the Wyndham Championship, Russell Henley sits atop the leaderboard after shooting a 6-under 64. His 14-under total ties Stewart Cink for the lowest 36-hole total of the season. Among the players lurking four shots back is the pre-tournament favorite, Webb Simpson, who has shot back-to-back 65s to head into the weekend tied for second place. The other huge storyline this week is the players fighting to make next week's FedExCup Playoffs. Among that group, Scott Piercy, Rory Sabbatini and Justin Rose have each dramatically improved their chances by currently placing in the top five on the leaderboard. As mentioned yesterday, Henley and Simpson continue to be the heavy favorites to win this tournament. With numerous highly ranked players like Hideki Matsuyama, Jason Kokrak and Brian Harman missing the cut, there are not many legitimate challengers. With prior outrights on both, and no legitimate value anywhere else, we will stick to matchup bets for round three.
