Cortes-Acosta just went the distance with Jared Vanderaa in his UFC debut. In that fight, Cortes-Acosta showed problems dealing with leg kicks and allowed that fight to play out much closer than it should have. Chase Sherman doesn’t offer many tools in his fight bag, but he is tough and often durable. The quickest path to victory against Sherman is to take the fight to the ground. That doesn’t project to happen in this fight, as this should be a standing affair that projects for Cortes-Acosta to outpoint Sherman over three rounds.
Kennedy Nzechukwu over 7.5 minutes.
Nzechukwu is a long rangy striker. He has proven to be a tough out for anyone he fights. Nzechukwu has an average fight time of over 10 minutes in the UFC. He is favored against Ian Cutelaba in what projects to be a competitive fight. Cutelaba has been submitted in his most recent losses. It’s important to note that Nzechukwu has yet to add a submission to his resume. Cutelaba will likely look to shoot and get the fight to the ground in order to avoid the strikes of Nzechukwu.
