UFC Vegas 67 Strickland vs Imavov: 3 Props to Target at Prize Picks
The UFC kicks off the year in Las Vegas with a card mixed with a number of new faces. Sean Strickland steps up as a short-notice replacement to headline the main event with Nassourdine Imavov. As usual, we look to target takedown props and other lines that seem too high. We have three PrizePicks lines to target in a flex play to start the year off.
Javid Basharat over 1.5 takedowns.
Basharat has managed five takedowns over three contests in the UFC. Well-rounded, Basharat is technical with the ability to fight in all three phases. He takes on a high-volume newcomer in Mateus Mendonca. Mendonca has a reckless high output which could see Basharat bring the fight to the ground to slow the young Brazilian down. Basharat will be the more skilled fighter and should be able to take advantage of mistakes by the young newcomer.
Dan Argueta over 1.5 takedowns.
Argueta is a muscled-up grappler with a singular mindset when it comes to strategy. Argueta is fighting another grappler in newcomer Nick Aguirre. Aguirre is a bit better in the striking department and probably has the edge in jiu-jitsu as well. Neither should deter Argueta in his gameplan to get the fight to the ground. Look for Argueta to spam takedown attempts throughout this fight en route to hitting this line.
Abdul Razak Alhassan under 75.5 fantasy points.
The UFC brass is giving the fans what they want with this fight. Alhassan takes on Claudio Ribeiro in what should be a fight that doesn’t see the final bell. PrizePicks has a fight line of 5 minutes as another prop to bet on, signifying that they don't expect the fight to go long as well. This fight is a toss-up, and a bet on the under here is betting that Ribeiro finishes the fight instead of Alhassan.
