In this space each week, I will review the winning lineups from the DraftKings Millionaire Maker and the FanDuel Sunday Million. Analyzing top lineups can help to tease out lineup-building strategies and offer clues on how you could have landed on a similar team.

The 132% cumulative ownership is the highest for a winning Millionaire lineup since Week 10 of last season. Since Week 1 of 2019, only 11 other winners have had cumulative ownership of 130% or higher.

Flex
Lineups that finished in the top 1% flexed a WR 70% of the time, with 20% using a third running back, and 10% rostering two tight ends. The field only flexed a wide receiver 55% of the time compared to 28% running back and 17% tight end. Top-1% of lineups have flexed a tight end less than the field in all three weeks this season.
Leverage
Jared Goff was priced near Kirk Cousins and while Goff didn’t outscore Cousins, saving salary did lead to a unique build in that it left $300 on the table. Since the start of 2019, only six other Millionaire winners have left $300 or more of their salary unused.

Only two Sunday Million winners in 2022 had higher cumulative ownership than the Week 3 winner. The average cumulative ownership for Sunday Million winners over the last three years is 114%.

Leverage
With no skill players under 5%, arguably the most unique aspect of the Sunday Million winning lineup was the fact that it left $500 of salary on the table. Only four winning lineups since the start of 2019 have left at least $500 of salary on the table.
