Liberty is a heavy favorite in this game for a reason. The Flames are 6-0 under first-year head coach Jamey Chadwell. All but one of Liberty's wins have been by double-digits. While their schedule hasn't exactly been daunting thus far, they've handled everyone they've played except for Sam Houston who has been stingy on defense this year.

Liberty is led by quarterback Kaidon Salter. The former top-50 national recruit transferred from Tennessee to Liberty and Chadwell has been able to get the most out of him. Salter has nearly 1,700 total yards, 17 touchdowns, and most importantly has only thrown two interceptions. Quinton Cooley is the bell cow for the Liberty rushing offense. Cooley rushed for over 100 yards in four of six games this year and ran for 163 yards and two touchdowns in his last game against Jacksonville State.

Middle Tennessee enters at 2-5 with just one win against FBS competition. They did hang around with Missouri and only lost by four, but the other losses have been ugly. They are coming off a win against Louisiana Tech in their last game. The key for Middle Tennessee will be keeping quarterback Nicholas Vattiato upright. Vattiato has been sacked 22 times this season.

The Blue Raiders are going to need a big performance out of Vattiato to have a chance. They aren't particularly good at running the ball and don't do anything well on defense. Vattiato has thrown six interceptions this season so they will need him to protect the ball if they want to have a chance to pull off a big upset.
