In Trestman we trust.

I spent a good chunk of the offseason reading, writing, and thinking about Marc Trestman's offense and its fantasy potential. I interviewed reporters and bloggers who covered Trestman during his time as a Canadian Football League head coach, and one thing became wonderfully clear: The bespectacled one's offensive system didn't depend on elite skill at the quarterback position.

It wouldn't hurt, of course, but the system could run with an efficient, boring signal caller, like Rich Gannon proved during Trestman's stint in Oakland. I had full faith in Josh McCown heading into Monday Night against Green Bay.

Jay Cutler's backup proved to be our optimal Week 9 QBBWW play, finishing with 20.9 fantasy points. Like I said: in Trestman we trust.

Jake Locker, another Week 9 recommendation, was largely a victim of the Rams' porous run defense. It was clear from the first snap that Locker wouldn't be asked to do much. He attempted a meager 22 passes against St. Louis. So it goes.

My QBBWW selections have averaged 16.9 fantasy points per game, or QB11 numbers. Optimal picks from those QBBWW choices have scored 20.2 points per week, or QB4 numbers.
