Everybody wants to talk to Cedric Benson these days. Such is life as the NFL’s leading rusher and one of the more intriguing candidates for comeback player of the year.
After his 120-yard game at Baltimore last Sunday, Benson leads the league in yards (487) and carries (111). On Thursday, besides fielding requests from local reporters, he did interviews with CBS’ “The NFL Today”, AOL Fanhouse, Sports Illustrated and ESPN The Magazine.
“Everyone wants to talk to you, but that’s not a bad thing,” Benson said. “I definitely plan on keeping it rolling. It’s a wonderful feeling. I’m very privileged but fortunate to make it happen. It’s still a long season and a lot of games left to be played. I definitely don’t plan to be a one-year wonder.”
Benson also has eight receptions for 65 yards and is ranked third in the league in yards from scrimmage (552 yards).
