Fantasy Upside
Dobson posses the upside to breakout this year, and offer some WR2 type value if he gets consistent snaps. Getting his feet healthy and practicing regularly would go a long way to seeing this happen.
Fantasy Downside
His feet have kept him off the practice field most the offseason. It's reasonable to think this could continue, or even that the accumulation of missed practice time will take a toll on his development. While he has a lot of upside, he could also be a bit of a frustrating and inconsistent player to own this year.
Bottom Line
Dobson presents some interesting draft day dilemmas. We rank him as WR59 and WR60 in standard and PPR, but is being drafted before several WRs we have ranked higher - or very similarly. Perhaps a few of the WRs we're ranking above or just below Dobson don't possess the same level of talent and upside, which is what makes understanding his draft day value difficult. Since Dobson has missed so much of the pre-season, I believe his value is best understood as an upside flier, hopefully available late in your drafts.
