GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Aaron Jones' saw his snap count fall to 51 percent for some unknown reason last week -- which could have led to Mike McCarthy's downfall. It just didn't make sense for Jones to get just 11 carries for 31 yards, even though he got into the end zone and had four catches for 16 yards. There seemed like more meat on that bone. This is another soft matchup this week, so hopefully a new head coach will change Jones' usage. He should be an RB1 play this week. At worst, he'll be an RB2.

GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Arizona Cardinals

Aaron Jones got a season-high 17 carries last week and responded with 72 rushing yards and a touchdown, his fourth in the past three games. He also caught three passes for 21 yards against a tough Minnesota defense, which bodes well for this week. The Cardinals have the league's most porous fantasy run defense thanks to seeing a league-high 33.5 backfield touches per game, which has resulted in a league-high 176.9 total yards per game to the running back position. Jones is an RB1 play this week.

GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Minnesota Vikings

Aaron Jones has firmly established himself as a high-end RB2 with RB1 upside after posting 103 yards from scrimmage and a pair of touchdowns last week at Seattle. Since taking over as the unquestioned lead back four weeks ago, Jones has averaged 111.5 total yards per game. He's also scored five TDs. And last week, he was finally a factor in the passing game, as well, catching five passes for 63 yards. Minnesota allows just 75.6 yards rushing per game to backs this season -- sixth best in the league -- but will give up some points in the passing game, which is where Jones could do damage. He's a borderline RB1 this week.

GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Seattle Seahawks

Aaron Jones got 172 yards from scrimmage and scored twice in a breakout game -- finally! Even with his big day, he only touched the ball 18 times, for 15 rushes and three receptions. Mike McCarthy is finally coming around to the idea of getting the explosive young back more involved, though. The Seahawks have allowed six rushing touchdowns this season, all in their last six games. Jones is a borderline RB1 play or high-end RB2 option this week in a Thursday night contest.

GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Miami Dolphins

Aaron Jones got 14 carries last week for 75 yards and also had two receptions for 10 yards in what was his busiest day of the season. He did lose a key fumble, but that should all be forgiven heading into this matchup against an awful Miami run defense that has only held three teams' running backs to under 100 yards rushing this season, while also allowing seven rushing TDs to the position. Jones is a very solid RB2 play this week.

GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at New England Patriots

Finally, a little clarity in the Packers' backfield. Just two days after Aaron Jones got a season-high 12 carries for 86 yards and a touchdown -- and two receptions for no yards -- Ty Montgomery was traded away. Jamaal Williams is still here to steal some goal-line carries away and perhaps serve as a third-down back, but Jones should be good for around 15 touches per game moving forward. That puts him into low-end RB2, high-end flex play each week. The Patriots give up the bulk of their points to opposing backs via the passing game, but Jones should get plenty of work this week.

GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at L.A. Rams

Aaron Jones hasn't averaged less than 5.1 yards per carry in a game yet this season. The Rams are allowing 4.7 yards per carry. It would seem to make sense for the Packers to use their best runner in this one to keep the Rams' offense off the field. But the Packers haven't given Jones more than 11 carries in a game since his return from suspension and he isn't used much in the passing game. He's a flex-option play in what should be a high-scoring affair. But at least he's worth that.
