GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Indianapolis

Jones had another decent game last week against Jacksonville as he ran the ball 13 times for 46 yards and caught five receptions for 49 yards. Jones saw plenty of work in this game, however he conceded eleven touches to Jamaal Williams in what was a close game throughout. Jones has not had a big game since Week 4 against Atlanta and has only had one touchdown in his last three healthy games. Even as far back as last season, the bulk of Jones’ production came in the form of touchdowns, making his game really standout.

Jones will have stiff matchup this week against the Indianapolis as the Colts are ranked 5th in aFPA to RBs this season. Jones will continue to get his touches this season, however his elite RB1 numbers are strictly tied to touchdowns. He’ll get plenty of touches to keep him as a RB1 this week.

GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs Jacksonville

Week 9 saw Jones return to action after missing the previous two games with a calf injury. He had a solid performance against the Niners as he finished with 15 carries for 58 yards and caught five receptions for 21 yards. Tyler Erving and Dexter Williams each got some touches to ease Jones back into the lineup, however, it was clear the coaching staff wanted Jones to continue getting workhorse touches.

Week 10 is the perfect spot for Jones to bounce back into elite RB1 territory as the Jacksonville Jaguars are ranked 29th in aFPA to RBs this season. Even with Jamaal Williams and AJ Dillon expected to be back from the reserve/COVID-19 list, Jones should see the lion’s share of the touches and should be viewed as an elite RB1 option in this one.

GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at San Francisco

After missing the past two weeks with a calf injury, Jones has been listed questionable all week to play on Thursday night. With the inclusion of Jamaal Williams and AJ Dillon being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, deep reserve RBs Tyler Ervin and Dexter Williams are the only available backs outside of Jones. It very possible Green Bay continues to be cautious with Jones and sit him out, but with such little depth, we could see and active Jones on Thursday night.

An easy RB1 if he plays, Jones could see a pitch count if active with plenty of Ervin and Williams in the mix. Keep a close eye up to kickoff in this one.

GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Houston

Much like everyone else on the Green Bay offense last week, Jones had his worst performance of the season as he ran the ball 10 times for 15 yards and one touchdown. Jones also caught three passes for 26 yards in a game where the Green Bay offensive line was clearly overwhelmed by the Tampa Bay defense. Jones was fortunate to salvage his fantasy day with his short touchdown, but it’s a good sign when Jones’ floor in PPR leagues is 13 points.

Jones moves ahead to Houston this week who is ranked last in aFPA to RBs this season and fresh off a torching by Tennessee’s Derrick Henry as he ran for 212 yards and two touchdowns as well as 52 receiving yards. The Texans defense is one of the worst in the league and there is no better situation for Jones to have a rebound game than in this one. Expect Jones to settle back into his elite RB1 production in this game.

* Update: keep an eye on Aaron Jones' status, as he's listed as questionable with a calf injury.

GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Tampa Bay

Jones is having an excellent season, as his six total touchdowns and over 500 yards from scrimmage have him ranked as the No. 4 RB in fantasy football even after the bye week. Jones’ Week 6 matchup against Tampa Bay will be a difficult one as the Bucs are ranked sixth in aFPA to RBs and the return of WR Davante Adams might limit how many targets Jones will see in the passing game. Even with these peripheral items lingering, Jones will still get enough work and opportunities to have yet another RB1 week.

GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at New Orleans

Currently the fantasy RB1 heading into Week 3, Jones had an incredible performance last week against the Lions as he amassed 236 total yards and three touchdowns. Jones was involved in every facet of the game, touching the ball 22 times with four of those being in the passing game. It was natural that Jones was going to see some regression in touchdowns after his league-high 19 last season, but his fit in this offense is proving otherwise.

New Orleans presents a potentially stiff matchup for Jones as they held Las Vegas’ Josh Jacobs to 3.2 yards per carry last week, however the potential of Davante Adams missing the game would mean more work for Jones. At any rate, fire up Jones as a RB1 in this one with the potential of yet another multiple touchdown explosion.

GB RB Aaron Jones - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Detroit

Jones had a solid Week 1 performance finishing with a rushing line of 16-66-1 and was heavily targeted in the passing game seeing six targets which he turned into four catches for 10 yards. While Jones still had a good game, he did concede work to backup Jamaal Williams as he has the past two seasons. Jones will forever have a nose for the endzone, however the thought of touchdown regression in a shared backfield in enough to make some owners nervous. At any rate, Jones will still get plenty of meaningful touches and we like him as a firm RB1 in Week 2.
