Scouting report

MIN WR Adam Thielen - Week 12, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Detroit
Adam Thielen now has a touchdown catch in back-to-back games, which means he's a viable fantasy option. He won't be a great play in this offense, which can struggle at times, but he's not a terrible pick.

Thielen should be viewed as a WR4 heading into a decent matchup against the Lions. He had success in his last game against Detroit this season, catching four passes for 68 yards.

MIN WR Adam Thielen - Week 11, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Arizona
Adam Thielen has had some big games this season, but he hasn't been impressive lately. He should be off the fantasy football radar, especially this week against the Cardinals.

MIN WR Adam Thielen - Week 10, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Washington
Adam Thielen has become a decent WR2 for Minnesota, but as long as Diggs is healthy, his ceiling will be capped. Minnesota is a run-first team, and doesn't end up with many passing yards to be distributed amongst the wideouts. Thielen is nothing more than a WR4.

MIN WR Adam Thielen - Week 9, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Detroit
Adam Thielen has been relevant in a few games this season, but overall he's not very reliable. He has a favorable matchup this week against the Lions, but any receiver not named Stefon Diggs is hard to trust in Minnesota. He's a risky play only worth a shot in deeper leagues.

MIN WR Adam Thielen - Week 8, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Chicago
Adam Thielen played more snaps (67) than Stefon Diggs (61) last week and finished with more yards. This doesn't mean he's a better play on a week-to-week basis, but it does mean he has a big role in this offense.

He gets a great matchup this week against the Bears, who have allowed the most points to opposing wideouts this season. We don't like him as much as Diggs, but he does have value as a potential WR4 option.

MIN WR Adam Thielen - Week 7, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Philadelphia
Adam Thielen was starting to make some noise this year, and then he exploded in Week 5 (7-127-1) with Stefon Diggs out of the lineup. With Diggs healthy again, we expect Thielen to go back to his normal role.

This is a poor matchup for Thielen as the Eagles have one of the best pass defenses this season. Thielen should be viewed as a WR4 play at best.

MIN WR Adam Thielen - Week 5, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Houston
#FantasyTwitter was excited about Adam Thielen for a while, but there's not much to like. He's hardly getting any attention to stay fantasy relevant, and he's in an offense that doesn't put up big passing numbers. In a tough matchup, it's best to not even think about Thielen this week.
