Fantasy Upside
Ahmad Bradshaw is second on the depth chart behind a struggling Trent Richardson. Richardson played poorly down the stretch last season and hasn’t shown much promise so far in the preseason. If his production continues to dip the Colts likely wouldn’t hesitate to give Bradshaw more touches. They showed their willingness to move on from Richardson during the postseason when they gave Donald Brown carries.
Fantasy Downside
Bradshaw is returning from neck surgery and has a long history of foot and ankle problems from his years with the Giants. He only played in three games last season before he was done for the year. He’s also the clear backup. As much as Richardson has struggled, the Colts are still going to feature him and put him in the starting position. If TRich has success, Bradshaw may not get enough touches to be relevant.
Bottom Line
Bradshaw showed promise last year before his injury. Against San Francisco he totaled 111 yards and found the endzone. Granted, that was in a starting role, which he won’t be in this season. If Bradshaw can stay healthy (and that’s a big if) he’d be worth a stash late in the draft.
