TEN WR A.J. Brown - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Houston Texans
Welcome back to the field A.J. Brown. After not playing for a month due to a knee injury, versus the Bills on Tuesday, he led the Titans with seven receptions and 82 yards and even registered his first score of ’20. He’ll be facing a good Houston pass defense this week, but Brown is always a must-start when healthy.

TEN WR A.J. Brown - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Buffalo Bills
A.J. Brown has missed the past two contests but should return on Tuesday after the Titans were forced into a bye last week. He has a great matchup against what has been a poor Buffalo pass defense, so be sure to add him back to your starting lineup.

TEN WR A.J. Brown - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Minnesota Vikings
After missing last week’s game due to a knee injury A.J. Brown should be healthy on Sunday. Be sure to monitor the injury report as he has a great matchup versus what has been a horrendous Vikings pass defense through two weeks.

TEN WR A.J. Brown - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
In the win over the Broncos last Monday it was Corey Davis and Adam Humphries who led the Tennessee receivers, not A.J. Brown. While the second-year pro caught five passes for 39 yards, the other two WRs combined for 13 receptions for nearly 150 yards. Brown still got his looks, as he tied Davis with a team-high eight targets. Unfortunately a knee injury will keep him out of the home opener.

TEN WR A.J. Brown - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 – A.J. Brown at Denver Broncos
A.J. Brown is coming off a rookie campaign that netted him over 1,000 yards and eight TDs. He averaged 20 yards per catch and really broke out during the final six contests of ‘19. With Ryan Tannehill under center again for Tennessee, look for he and Brown to continue from their late season success. Brown has already emerged as a top WR in the league and is a must start.

TEN WR A.J. Brown - 2020 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
What a rookie season A.J. Brown posted, especially after Ryan Tannehill took over at QB. Despite not playing 70% of the snaps in a game until Week 10, Brown finished with 52 grabs for 1,051 yards and eight TDs. He averaged a whopping 20 yards per catch, eclipsing the century mark in four of the final six regular season contests with five touchdowns during that stretch.

Fantasy Downside
While Brown’s draft stock is trending up in a big way, it’s possible he’ll see more regression than any other WR. His amazing 12.4 yards per target is 25% better than the all-time career mark shared by Tyreek Hill and Tyler Lockett, so expect that average to take a dip. Brown scored once every 10.5 targets during the regular season but in the playoffs his target share fell to 15%, which was behind Corey Davis.

Bottom Line
Brown had a huge second half of ’19 and has already become a top-10 fantasy WR. However, Tennessee remains a run-first offense and had great success with that formula last season, so don’t expect to see Ryan Tannehill’s pass numbers to increase much, if any. Brown should again finish with over 1,000 yards and lead his team in receptions but look for him to receive all kinds of attention from defensive coordinators.

TEN WR A.J. Brown - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Houston Texans
A.J. Brown was held to one catch for 34 yards on two targets last week against the Saints, getting all kinds of attention. That could happen again this week, especially if Corey Davis and Adam Humphries miss this game. Keep an eye on their status. Brown did have eight catches for 114 yards and a score against the Texans two weeks ago on 13 targets, so there's some hope. Look for a game somewhere in the middle of where he's been the past two weeks, making him a WR2 play.
