Scouting report

DAL WR Amari Cooper - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs New England
Amari Cooper was held in check last week with only three catches for 38 yards. He still was targeted eight times so it wasn't like QB Dak Prescott wasn't looking for him. He was just hooking up more with other receivers.

Cooper will face the Patriots who are first in aFPA to wide receivers. This is a really tough matchup for the Cowboys passing game and we don't expect the passing yardage to be a crazy number like the 444 they had last week, but they should still be in the high 200s.

Start Cooper for Week 12 but only as a WR2 against New England. The Pats will key on Cooper and make other receivers beat them.

DAL WR Amari Cooper - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Detroit
Amari Cooper tied his season-high 11 receptions in the loss to the Vikings last week. The Dallas passing game had a big night and Cooper was in QB Dak Prescott's sight the whole evening. It was Cooper's fourth 100+ receiving yardage game of the season.

Cooper will face the Lions next. Detroit is 23rd in aFPA to wide receivers. We expect the Cowboys offense to pound the football with Ezekiel Elliot against a bad run defense, but the passing game should have some success as well.

Start Cooper as a top-five fantasy wide receiver in all leagues and formats. He might not get to 11 receptions again, but a 100+ yard game is a distinct possibility with a touchdown or two.

DAL WR Amari Cooper - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs Minnesota
Amari Cooper continues to be a strong fantasy receiver. His numbers with the exception of the Week 6 debacle, have been very good. Last week, he got back in the end zone after a two-week hiatus. The Cowboys seem to have gotten over their slump so that will help Cooper stay on top.

The Vikings are up next and ranked 20th in aFPA to wide receivers. We expect more good numbers as Minnesota will try to take the running game away which is their strength.

Start Cooper as a solid WR1 for Week 10. Dallas' passing game is playing better and Cooper is right in the middle of it.

DAL WR Amari Cooper - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at New York Giants
After only catching one pass two weeks ago against the Jets, Amari Cooper caught five passes for 106 yards. It was his third 100+ receiving yard game of 2019. Cooper actually had 106 receiving yards in the opener against this week's opponent New York.

The Giants are 26th in aFPA to wide receivers. Although he has been the main target for QB Dak Prescott, he has disappeared some of the games this season. However, we don't think that will happen in Week 9. Start Cooper as a top 5 fantasy wide receiver against the G-Men.

DAL WR Amari Cooper - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New York Jets
It took the Cowboys to get down early to get Amari Cooper a great fantasy night in Big D. He finished the night 11 catches for 226 yards and a touchdown. Of course, Dallas lost and those were some padded stats, but nobody cares in a fantasy football.

Cooper faces the Jets who are 24th in aFPA to wide receivers. Don't expect the Cowboys to get behind this week and don't expect the numbers Cooper had last week.

He still is a great play for Week 6. Start Cooper in all leagues and formats as a solid WR1 against New York.

DAL WR Amari Cooper - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs Green Bay
One interesting thing about Amari Cooper's numbers is he has not been targeted in double-figures yet this season. His results have been okay, but so far we are seeing numbers like last week - five receptions for 48 yards. Last week was a tough one as he did not reach the end zone for the first time in four games this season. The scores have helped his value.

Cooper will face a Packers team that is 2nd in aFPA to wide receivers. We expect Cooper to have a very good game despite the fact that teams have run the ball at will against Green Bay and that's where the Cowboys focus will be,

Cooper's numbers will be higher this week because it's going to be a big offensive day for Dallas. Start him as a WR1 in all leagues and formats.

DAL WR Amari Cooper - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at New Orleans
Amari Cooper had another strong game last week and now has four touchdowns on the season. The connection between him and QB Dak Prescott has been outstanding. Cooper probably was under-drafted in most leagues but his early numbers are very good.

It will be another great matchup for Cooper as he faces the Saints who are 30th in aFPA to wide receivers. Despite being on the road, this game is prime time Sunday night and the Cowboys want to send a message to the rest of the league.

Start Cooper as a solid WR1 for Week 4. The Cowboys offense is probably the second-best offense in the NFL and it's going to take a really good defense to stop the fantasy stats from piling up.
