Giants HC Tom Coughlin didn’t sound like he’s counting on RB Ahmad Bradshaw for Monday’s game against the Saints, though he’s waiting to give a more definitive response once the players return to work on Thursday.

“We’ve waited for Ahmad, and rightfully so,” Coughlin said. “I don’t know they’re going to just give us the green light. When they do and say he can play and take a hit — he’s going to be sore for the rest of the season — and he’ll be able to come back and play the following week, we’ll take that into consideration.”

D.J. Ware suffered a concussion on Sunday, meaning the Giants only have two healthy RBs — Brandon Jacobs and Da’Rel Scott — on the active roster.

They have 2009 fourth-round pick Andre Brown on the practice squad.
