Scouting report

NYJ RB Bilal Powell - Week 11, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs Houston

Bilal Powell has had trouble staying healthy, but is listed as probable for Week 11 against Houston. His numbers were solid at the beginning of the year when he was on the field, but he has not played since October 18th.

The matchup is very good this week, as Houston has one of the worst run defenses in the NFL. Even though Powell is on the fantasy radar, he doesn't bring enough to the table to warrant a start in Week 11.

NYJ RB Bilal Powell - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs Washington
Bilal Powell has been the back of choice when Chris Ivory is not getting the ball, especially in the passing game. However, with Ivory back last game, Powell didn't carry the ball and only had one catch. He has also been limited in practice with a groin injury, so his usage could be limited against a very good Washington run defense. Keep Powell on the bench for Week 6.

NYJ RB Bilal Powell - Week 4, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs Dolphins
Bilal Powell continues to get touches and snaps, so he does have value. He has played 63 percent of the snaps which includes last week as the starter. There is little doubt he has more value in PPR leagues, but he is still a factor in standard leagues as well.

With Chris Ivory set to return, fantasy owners should expect around 15 touches for Powell in London. Miami has a decent, but not great run defense. Powell is a solid RB3 or flex in standard leagues and a high-end RB2 in PPR leagues.

NYJ RB Bilal Powell - Week 3, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Eagles

Bilal Powel was on the field more than any running back on the Jets last week -- including starter Chris Ivory. He only had two less carries than Ivory, and with the starting back nursing a quad injury, Powell could be the feature back this week against the Eagles.

Obviously, Powell already has some value in PPR leagues, but if Ivory is out, Powell could move up to an RB3 or flex position for Week 3 in standard leagues. He is already ranked that way in PPR leagues.

NYJ RB Bilal Powell - Week 2, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs Indianapolis
Bilal Powell had 12 carries in Week 1 as Chris Ivory's backup, which gives him some fantasy value. He probably won't get many more than that on weekly basis unless something happens to Ivory. With that said, Ivory has been nursing a bad groin. If for some reason, he can't go on Sunday, Powell becomes the starter and should have some value for Week 2. Otherwise, keep him on your bench in his current role.
