DEN K Brandon McManus - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 – Brandon McManus vs. Arizona Cardinals
Brandon McManus has won the kicking nod for the Broncos, as Matt Prater was released from the club on Friday. McManus has had only three FG attempts so far, but made them all. Denver is averaging 25 points per game, however Brandon has scored only 17 points in those three contests. Now that the job is his though and the Broncos have already had their bye, McManus is worth picking up.

DEN K Brandon McManus - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 – Brandon McManus vs. Seattle Seahawks
In the win over the Chiefs last Sunday, Brandon McManus booted a short FG and three extra points. The Broncos offense didn’t have the ball very much, especially in the second half, as Brandon’s FG was the only points Denver put on the board after halftime. It could be a low-scoring affair in Seattle this week, with the Broncos leaning on their kicker for points.

DEN K Brandon McManus - Week 2, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 – Brandon McManus vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Brandon McManus was successful on his only FG attempt (21 yards) with Denver last Sunday. He hit all four extra points and had some booming kickoffs that kept the Colts from getting good field position. The Broncos offense has been a juggernaut with Peyton Manning at QB and that should continue this week against a Kansas City team that allowed over 400 total yards to the Titans last Sunday.

DEN K Brandon McManus - Week 1, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 – Brandon McManus vs. Indianapolis Colts
Filling in for Matt Prater for the first four games will be Brandon McManus, the second-year pro from Temple. McManus missed two long FGs last week in Dallas in his Broncos debut, but still made the team – for now. McManus has a strong leg and should get plenty of chances to rack up points in his short time in Denver with this offense.

Broncos K Brandon McManus - 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Brandon McManus was going to be waived by the Giants during the cut down to 75 players, but instead he was shipped off to the Broncos for a conditional 7th round pick that is unlikely to turn into an actual asset, as it only goes to the Giants if McManus spends the entire season as the Broncos kicker.

McManus was brought in to fill in for the suspended Matt Prater during the first four games of the season. He has fantasy value during those four games until Prater comes back, and in such a high octane offense, he should be added for the short term, particularly if you own Prater.
