WAS RB Brian Robinson - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Cleveland Browns/strong>

Brian Robinson basked in the positive gamescript against the Cardinals in Week 4. He rushed 21 times for 101 yards, his second 100-yard game this season, and also found the endzone on the ground while adding 12 yards on three catches for 18.8 Half PPR points. Robinson was the RB10 in Half PPR formats last week.

He should remain in the RB1/RB2 conversation this week, with the Cleveland Browns not exactly looking like a shutdown defense at present, particularly against tailbacks. The Browns rank 21st in aFPA to running backs this season. If you have Robinson, you're starting him.

WAS RB Brian Robinson - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Arizona Cardinals

Brian Robinson put in a workmanlike showing in the Commanders' win over the Bengals. He rushed a team-high 16 times but for just 33 yards. Robinson did find the endzone, however, and this propelled him to 10.2 Half PPR points and an RB22 finish for the week.

Austin Ekeler won't play in Week 4, leaving the backfield pretty much all to Robinson. the Cardinals are not a daunting matchup, but even if Robinson gets all the touches he needs to start racking up a few more yards. Still, he looks like a solid RB2 option this week.

WAS RB Brian Robinson - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Cincinnati Bengals
Brian Robinson’s solid start to the season continued in Week 2, with 133 rushing yards on 17 carries coupled with another three yards on his only reception giving him 14.1 Half PPR points. He finished as the RB17 for the week.

A Commanders win would likely be a result of a strong day on the ground, with the Bengals seventh in running back rushing yards allowed so far this season. Robinson clearly has the lead in terms of rushing attempts in this backfield, and if his workload remains constant he should threaten low-end RB1 numbers in Week 3.

WAS RB Brian Robinson - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs New York Giants

Brian Robinson didn't exactly run riot against the Buccaneers in Week 1, but he was able to finish as an RB1 with 16.4 Half PPR points. Robinson rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown while also adding 49 yards on three receptions.

The Giants let the Vikings RBs do what they wanted in Week 1, allowing 108 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground along with seven receptions (from seven targets) for another 51 yards. Robinson doesn't have much of a ceiling, but he should be able to come through with RB2 numbers if you need him.

WAS RB Brian Robinson - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brian Robinson profiles to lead the Commanders in early down work, which given how run-heavy they project to be could give him some fantasy appeal in 2024. The uncertain nature of the offensive line and a leaky defense could change things, and with a proven receiving back in the same backfield, not to mention a quarterback not known for checking down at the best of times, it's hard to get too excited about Robinson. This is certainly true this week, as he locks horns with a Bucs defense that ranked fourth in aFPA to running backs a year ago. Robinson looks like a very low-ceiling RB3 option this week.

WAS RB Brian Robinson - 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook

Brian Robinson was not a player who appeared on many All-Pro ballots in 2024, nor was he a reason many fantasy managers won a championship. He rushed 178 times for 733 yards and five touchdowns, while also catching 36 balls for 368 yards and another four scores. He finished the season as the RB21 in half-PPR points per game.

Washington's new offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury was able to produce fairly productive rushing attacks when he was the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. Kingsbury's Cardinals finished inside the top 10 in rushing yards in each of his first three seasons in charge. But the Washington offense looks distinctly lacking in offensive firepower and offensive line talent, so the thought of establishing the run and feeding Brian Robinson to propel his fantasy output doesn't seem a realistic goal. He should be viewed as a low-end RB3.

WAS RB Brian Robinson - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Miami Dolphins

Brian Robinson struggled to find much running room much last week, rushing 15 times for 53 yards. He also caught two passes for 11 yards. It was a decent game considering the tough matchup against the Cowboys. Things don't get much easier this week, though, as Robinson gets another tough matchup, this time against the Dolphins (fourth in aFPA). In the last three games, Miami has given up a total of 135 rush yards and 0 rushing TDs to running backs. Considering the tough matchup, Robinson should be viewed as a low-end RB2 or RB3 option for Week 13.
