CIN RB Chase Brown - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Las Vegas Raiders
It looks as though Chase Brown will have the backfield all to himself in Week 9, and though his efficiency has nosedived as he handles more work, he has the explosiveness to break off a big gain at any time. The Raiders' run defense presents a great opportunity for just that, so we should consider him a fringe RB1/2 with Zack Moss sidelined.

CIN RB Chase Brown - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
While Zack Moss continues to look slow, or possibly hampered by an ankle injury, Chase Brown has jumped into the lead-back role, at least on early downs. More usage will obviously send his early-season 7+ YPC mark south but heightened usage on a good offense keeps him more than fantasy-relevant. Consider him a low-end RB2 in Week 8.

CIN RB Chase Brown - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 @ Cleveland Browns
The Chase Brown breakout game finally happened, and though he found the end zone twice in Week 4, his 18 opportunities were far more important when trying to predict future success. He followed that up with a 15-opportunity game in Week 5 (14.9 half-PPR points) and another 13 opportunities (13.4 points) in Week 6. This will still be a rotation, but Brown may very well take the upper hand over Zack Moss, at least for this week.

CIN RB Chase Brown - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 @ New York Giants
The Chase Brown breakout game finally happened, and though he found the end zone twice in Week 4, his 18 opportunities were far more important when trying to predict future success. He followed that up with a 15-opportunity game in Week 5 (14.9 half-PPR points) and should have yet another good performance in Week 6 with Zack Moss sitting on the injury report for most of the week. This will still be a rotation, but Brown may very well take the upper hand, at least for this week.

CIN RB Chase Brown - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Baltimore Ravens
The Chase Brown breakout game finally happened, and though he found the end zone twice, his 18 opportunities are far more important when trying to predict future success. This matchup against the Ravens comes at a bad time though, as it's unlikely the Bengals jump out to a huge lead and never look back like they did with the Panthers. Brown is still viable as a fantasy option, but keep expectations in the RB3 range.

CIN RB Chase Brown - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 @ Carolina Panthers
Chase Brown has been excellent on a per-touch basis, but there just haven't been that many touches. He has excelled as a rotational back that sparks the offense, but there are too many concerns about the nuances of his game (i.e. pass protection) for us to depend on seeing those sparks on a consistent basis. He is a desperation Flex play until we see otherwise.

CIN RB Chase Brown - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Washington Commanders
Only time will tell, but if the Bengals liked Chase Brown enough to turn him into their No. 1 backfield option, they likely would have given him more than 33 rush attempts prior to Week 18. In his rookie season, 16.1% of his 335 total yards gained last season came on one 54-yard dump-off screen pass. He has logged only one single snap out of third-down or two-minute-drill scenarios in two weeks. Keep him on your bench.
