Scouting report

PIT WR Chase Claypool - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs Jaguars

Claypool saw about 20 fewer snaps than Smith-Schuster and Johnson, but still saw 10 targets and scored two touchdowns. In nine games, Claypool has a very respectable 35-500-7 line plus two rushing touchdowns. Not bad for a rookie who started his career down on the depth chart. Claypool may be our third-ranked Steelers wide receiver, but Pittsburgh has shown the ability to facilitate three excellent fantasy options at the position.

PIT WR Chase Claypool - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs Bengals

Claypool didn’t score in Week 9, but 13 targets last week show he continues to be a trusted source in this offense, even as a rookie. He has as much upside as almost any receiver and he gets a weak Bengals defense this week. Good chance he gets back in the end zone this week.

PIT WR Chase Claypool - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Cowboys

Interestingly enough, Claypool, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson each played the same number of snaps (41) in Week 8. JuJu caught the most passes, but it was Claypool that was the only one of the three to score a touchdown. Claypool is right up there now with JuJu Smith-Schuster and has touchdowns in four of his seven games this season. That will probably become five out of eight against the Cowboys.

PIT WR Chase Claypool - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs Ravens

Claypool cooled off considerably in Week 7 with just one catch for -2 yards. The return of Diontae Johnson is going to eat into Claypool's fantasy workload and limit his ceiling. But his talent still has him worthy of a flex play in this huge AFC North showdown against the Ravens.

PIT WR Chase Claypool - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs Titans

It's pretty crazy to think (or maybe not so much), but Chase Claypool might be becoming the top receiver in Pittsburgh, considering how banged up guys like JuJu Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson are. Claypool followed up his four-touchdown performance in Week 5 with another rushing touchdown and 74 yards receiving in Week 6. Claypool is now a solid WR2 in weekly leagues in a solid matchup against the Titans.

PIT WR Chase Claypool - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs Browns

Welcome to the NFL, Chase Claypool. We knew Claypool had talent, but last week was still quite fun to watch with four touchdowns for the rookie. And with Diontae Johnson still banged up, Claypool has a chance to continue his run, though Johnson does have a chance to play Sunday. Claypool is now in flex territory for Week 6.
