Fantasy Upside
Chris Herndon has the inside track to be the starting tight end for the Jets. The rookie had some success last year at Miami (40 receptions). There aren't many TE options for the Jets, so as long as he performs he should get the job.
Fantasy Downside
He has potential, but how good he will play at the next level is unknown. He could end up on the bench if the Jets feel he isn't ready.
2018 Bottom Line
There is no reason to draft Herndon because of the unknown. He is our No. 37 ranked fantasy tight end, which means he's not worth a roster spot but could be a possible early-season waiver wire addition if he starts strong.
