Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (knee) missed practice again Thursday. Anderson has a “significant” meniscus tear and the team is hoping he’ll be back for the playoffs. Devontae Booker is ranked as a high-end RB2 in our rest-of-season rankings.

Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (knee) did not practice Wednesday. Anderson is out for Week 8 and maybe much longer. He’s going for a second opinion on the knee. If Devontae Booker is still on the wire, he’s worth a full FAAB bid as it looks like he’ll be the RB1 for a while.

Broncos RB C.J. Anderson expected out at least a few weeks with a knee injury, source says. Second opinion today to see if it'll be longer.

Fantasy Impact: 

Devontae Booker is available in 48% of Yahoo leagues and should be the #1 priority this week. If Anderson's injury turns into a long-term absence, Booker could be a league-winning waiver pickup. Kapri Bibbs is next on the depth chart, but he has only seen five touches thus far.

Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said after beating the Texans last Monday night that he’d like to continue riding a 1-2 punch of C.J. Anderson and Devontae Booker out of the backfield, but circumstances may dictate a different approach.

Mike Klis of KUSA reports that Anderson will miss practice on Wednesday while going for a second opinion on a knee injury that he suffered in the game against Houston.

Anderson got hurt on a run at the end of the first quarter, but was able to remain in the game and ran for 84 more yards after going down on the play.

Fantasy Impact: 

This isn’t a death knell to his Week 8 availability, but it is concerning. Devontae Booker would be a high-end RB2 if Anderson can’t play. Anderson finished the game in Week 7, so for now we're assuming he'll play.
