Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny (hamstring, questionable) for Week 3. Penny apparently injured himself during the team's walkthrough on Friday. If he's out, C.J. Prosise would get a boost, but we would expect Chris Carson to handle the vast majority of touches. The Seahawks play late on Sunday.

Bills RB Devin Singletary (hamstring, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 3. Frank Gore figures to see a big workload in a great matchup against the Bengals. T.J. Yeldon figures to see a few touches as a change-of-pace back and as a receiver.

Saturday night, C.J. Prosise again showed his vast promise, leading the Seahawks with 32 yards on five carries, one a hard-fought 1-yard touchdown, and also had one reception for 15 yards.

Fantasy Impact: 

Prosise has played in just 16 of 48 games in his career. Carroll said he didn't want to give up on Prosise despite all his injuries, and it looks like he's going to make the 53-man roster the story said. Prosise and the Seahawks will likely run the ball a lot this year, but Prosise will still play behind Carson and Penny.

Brian Schottenheimer said he wants Chris Carson’s targets to be in the 50 range.

Fantasy Impact: 

Last year Carson was targeted 24 times while Mike Davis saw 42. So if some of those targets left by Davis go to Carson, it could easily get him in the ballpark for 50. For what it's worth, we rank Carson 24th on our RB list and project him for 27 catches.

Seahawks Beat: Chris Carson continues to look like team's top RB

The Seahawks held a mock game on Saturday, but competition continues to be a very real thing for the team. And last year’s starting running back Chris Carson, a seventh-round pick in 2017, continues to keep his grip on the job over Rashaad Penny, a first-round selection in 2018.

“Carson continues to look like the best running back on the roster,” writes Michael-Shawn Dugar of TheAthletic.com. “That’s not to say Penny has been bad. In fact, he looked really explosive on a few screen passes Saturday; he’s just not at the same level as Carson right now.”

Fantasy Impact: 

Even if Carson wins the starting job, there should be plenty of touches for Penny now that Mike Davis is on the Bears. The story went on to say HC Pete Carroll did praise Penny on Saturday saying he had a great offseason, reduced his body fat and looks stronger and faster.
