BAL TE Crockett Gillmore - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 – Crockett Gilmore vs. Carolina

With Dennis Pitta now out of the season, rookie Crockett Gilmore may see some action in two tight end sets opposite Owen Daniels. Gilmore is an athletic but raw talent with the kind of ability to develop into a starter. He has good hands and the ability to separate. However, until we see it, it’s too risky to grab him off waivers. He’s an interesting name to keep an eye on, but ultimately not worth a roster spot on your fantasy team.

BAL TE Crockett Gillmore - 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Crockett Gilmore isn’t getting much buzz and he’s an inexperienced, raw talent on offense. However, this third round pick out of Colorado State has the size and ability to become a pass catcher at the next level. Known mostly for his blocking, Gilmore will likely make the final roster behind pass catchers Dennis Pitta and Owen Daniels. If that’s the case, keep an eye on this kid. Gilmore has shown the ability to run routes and stretch the seam. Behind two traditionally injury prone guys, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Gilmore as a surprise fantasy adder come mid-season. He’s not worth drafting right now, but he’s a name worth stashing in the back of your mind.
