HOU RB Dameon Pierce - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Miami Dolphins

Washington has a very good defense, so we can chalk up Pierce's 8 rushing yards last week to that. Miami is a good rush-defensive team themselves (No. 9 DVOA rush defense). But Houston will continue to feed the rock to Pierce, though we'll see how the Texans' offense looks with Kyle Allen now under center. Regardless, Pierce is still one of the better fantasy options at the position and there isn't much else in Houston, so fire up Pierce this week.

HOU RB Dameon Pierce - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Washington Commanders

Dameon Pierce is him. Another 122 total yards for the rookie. He's pretty much matchup-proof at this point, though Washington does rank No. 2 in Rush DVOA. Still, Pierce is basically all the Texans have on offense at this point. He's about as good as it gets for fantasy purposes so keep riding the hot hand.

Week 10 at New York Giants

Dameon Pierce continues to make his case for Offensive Rookie of the Year. He ran for 139 yards on 27 carries in Week 9 against the Eagles. He's had a few extra days to rest and prepare for the Giants, a bottom-ten rush defense in DVOA, so another strong rushing day looks to be in the works for Pierce this week. He continues to be an RB1 option.

Week 9 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Dameon Pierce salvaged some sort of fantasy day right at the end of the game against the Titans with a garbage-time touchdown. Otherwise, there wasn't much to write home about. Things don't get much easier as Pierce and the Texans have a short week to prepare for the 7-0 Eagles on Thursday. The Eagles are without DT Jordan Davis but Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave will carry the load. Still, with the talent he has and the volume Pierce has been getting lately, he's still up there as an RB2.

Week 8 vs. Tennessee Titans

Three straight weeks with at least 90 yards rushing and at least 100 total yards for Dameon Pierce. He's involved in all aspects for the Texans. Pierce has entered RB1 territory, but he is facing the No. 3 rush defense in DVOA. Still, the volume and talent alone give Pierce a ton of upside every week.

Week 7 at Las Vegas Raiders

Three straight strong performances for Dameon Pierce as the Texans have found a gem in the backfield. He still concedes pass-game usage to Rex Burkhead, but it looks as if Houston is going to give Pierce about 20 carries a game, so being the lead back here makes Pierce almost an RB1 going forward. He faces an average run defense in the Las Vegas Raiders, 15th in DVOA. Roll with the hot hand here in Houston.

HOU RB Dameon Pierce - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Jacksonville Jaguars

Dameon Pierce has solidified himself as the RB1 in Houston and has done so with authority. He rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown last week against the Chargers. Rex Burkhead will still see the field here and there, but Pierce is officially the man in Houston. He does have a pretty tough test this week, however. The Jaguars rank 12th in Rush DVOA, led by their two top rookies, Travon Walker and Devin Lloyd. Nonetheless, Pierce is still a start this week just by talent and volume alone.
