Chiefs RB Spencer Ware (shoulder, hamstring, doubtful) did not practice Wednesday. Look for Damien Williams to lead this backfield in touches with Darrel Williams as a change-of-pace back. The newly signed Charcandrick West may be mixed in as well. Damien is a fantasy RB2.

Spencer Ware was out because of the shoulder on Tuesday, as well as a hamstring issue that popped up in the win over the Ravens.

Fantasy Impact: 

Ware could still play in Week 15, but Wednesday’s practice is now an imperative for him. If he misses that session, fantasy owners will have to plan on going in a different direction, as the story said. Williams may be a guy to add if he's still on your wire.

The Chiefs are expected to sign former RB Charcandrick West, sources say.

Fantasy Impact: 

The move makes sense because West knows the playbook and will fit right in, filling the void created on the roster by Kareem Hunt. Rapoport went on to say his understanding is Anderson had a really good workout and is ready if needed. HC Andy Reid said he's ready to use a committee approach at RB, so West could get some carries but probably won't be fantasy relevant. West will likely be used more in the passing game.

Perhaps no one back will lug the workload of Kareem Hunt, who averaged nearly 17 attempts per game.

“I’m sure we’ll continue to rotate him,” Reid said of Spencer Ware. “I’ll go back and look at it. I mean that’s what we did today, trying to keep everyone fresh and going.”

Fantasy Impact: 

Because of the late release of Hunt, the Chiefs didn't have a lot of time to change their game plan much. But it sounds like it could be a committee going forward. KC is bringing in, and expected to sign, Anderson who could be more of an RB3 option behind Ware and Williams. As of now, it's looking like maybe Ware's fantasy value won't measure up to the workload Hunt was getting. Williams could end up being used more on passing downs going forward as well.
