NE WR Danny Amendola - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Danny Amendola is averaging 13.3 PPR points per week this season, putting him on the FLEX radar for Week 5. The Bucs are a great matchup too, ranked just 31st in our aFPA vs. PPR WRs. Despite it being a Thursday Night game, the Patriots have the highest implied total in Vegas for Week 5 at 30.75 points. Amendola has also received at least one red zone target in each of his three games this season.

NE WR Danny Amendola - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Carolina Panthers

Danny Amendola only played 50% of snaps last week. That's not enough action to warrant starting lineup consideration in fantasy. Brandin Cooks and Chris Hogan are the WRs to start on this team.

NE WR Danny Amendola - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Chiefs

It's unclear whether Chris Hogan or Danny Amendola will take over the slot role with Julian Edelman gone for the season. What's more likely is the Patriots rotate personnel there, while also utilizing 2-WR sets. As such, Amendola is too risky to start Week 1.

NE WR Danny Amendola - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Danny Amendola took a pay cut to stay a Patriot, so his job is likely safe and he has been said to be moving well after his offseason ankle and knee surgeries though his Week 1 status is still in question.

Fantasy Downside
Competition, health, age, pick your poison as Amendola will most likely be eased into action following these injuries. His role could be in danger to guys like Chris Hogan and Malcolm Mitchell.

2016 Bottom Line
Amendola should really be on your fantasy radar unless he can come back healthy and carve out a role in this offense. Could be tough sledding and an unreliable fantasy season for Amendola on an offense that is loaded with talent.

NE WR Danny Amendola - Week 20, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

AFC Championship at Denver
Last week Danny Amendola saw three targets, putting up a 2-18 line. As long as Julian Edelman is healthy, Danny Amendola figures to play a reserve role in the Patriots offense. With that in mind, we have Amendola as WR12 this weekend, with only four teams going.

NE WR Danny Amendola - Week 19, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 19 vs Kansas City
With Julian Edelman back in the mix, Danny Amendola figures to return to his reserve role. He can excel when given the chance, but is a longshot flier this weekend only.

NE WR Danny Amendola - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Tennessee
Danny Amendola converted eight targets in Week 14 into a 6-46 line, more appreciated by PPR owners. After three consecutive games of double digit targets, last week was his lowest target total since WR Julian Edelman was injured. Facing an aFPA matchup in the bottom third to opposing WRs, Amendola figures to get back on track this weekend for owners. We have him as a WR3, with his normal PPR bump into the WR2 conversation.
