Week 6 at New England Patriots
Darius Slayton caught four of the five passes thrown his way last week against the Vikings, gaining 62 yards and scoring the first touchdown of his NFL career. Slayton brings ability as an outside deep threat to the offense, something the team sorely needs among a group of receivers who are stylistically a better fit in the slot.
This week, Slayton has some upside with Sterling Shepard set to miss the game due to a concussion. While Golden Tate and potentially Cody Latimer might see an increase in targets as well, Slayton should benefit the most. If the Giants fall behind against the Patriots early on, Slayton could get some deep targets as they try to make a game of it. Slayton is way too risky to count on in most situations, but if you’re looking for a boom-bust flyer, you could do worse.
