Wide receiver Louis Murphy was back on the field with his injured clavicle but looked something less than 100 percent.

During drills, Murphy ran a route down the left sideline at about three-quarter speed and raised only one arm in an unsuccessful attempt to catch the ball. He then removed his helmet and watched from near the end zone, later helping cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha with his daily stretching routine.

Murphy leads Raiders wide receivers with 15 receptions for 238 yards and a touchdown, followed by Darrius Heyward-Bey (10 receptions, 140 yards).

Fantasy Impact:

Murphy really opened some eyes with last week's performance and was becoming a popular pickup this week, if he's still on your waiver wire. We'll monitor Murphy's progress the rest of the week.

Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey's inconsistent play during his rookie season made him a lightning rod for criticism. Three games into this season, he is gaining widespread attention for all the right reasons.

Quarterbacks Jason Campbell and Bruce Gradkowski targeted Heyward-Bey 24 times the past two games in an attempt to take advantage of single coverage and Heyward-Bey's maturity into a reliable option.

"This time last year, Darrius would have his head down if something goes wrong," Gradkowski said. "Now he knows that this is the game. I am going to miss throws, receivers are going to drop balls, that's the name of the game. That stuff is going to happen, but it's what you do after that."

Bruce Gradkowski solidified his backup quarterback spot for the Oakland Raiders with a steady showing as the Raiders lost 28-24 to their Bay Area rivals, the San Francisco 49ers.

Gradkowski threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns after Jason Campbell left with an injury. He did not play in the first two exhibition games because of a groin injury and was in danger of falling behind Kyle Boller on the depth chart. But he completed 14 of 22 passes and led Oakland to scores on his first three drives. He threw touchdown passes to Louis Murphy and Zach Miller and set up a 57-yard field goal by Sebastian Janikowski.

Before leaving Campbell got off to another strong start, completing four passes for 67 yards on an 81-yard touchdown drive. Darrius Heyward-Beyhad two of his three catches on the drive, fullback Marcel Reece had a 34-yard reception and Michael Bush scored on a 1-yard run.

Bush also left the game with a broken left thumb and does not know how serious it is. DT Desmond Bryant had an elbow injury.
