Scouting report

BUF TE Dawson Knox - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at New England
Dawson Knox was fairly quiet last Sunday. He was targeted five times which produced four catches for 38 yards. The Bills discovered the running game against Carolina so the passing game wasn't as effective numbers-wise.

Knox will face the Pats who are ranked 4th in aFPA to tight ends. In the meeting earlier this season, Knox had only two catches for 14 yards as New England limited Buffalo's passing game. We expect a better day for the Bills. Start Knox as a solid TE1 despite the tough matchup.

BUF TE Dawson Knox - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Carolina
Dawson Knox had a solid fantasy day last Sunday with seven receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown. If he can get these types of numbers every week, he becomes a consistent top fantasy tight end.

Knox will face the Panthers who are ranked 9th in aFPA to tight ends. It won't be easy going, but we like where Knox is in the Bills offense. Expect similar numbers this Sunday and Knox has the best chance to score a touchdown of any tight end this weekend. Start him as a top-five fantasy tight end for Week 15.

BUF TE Dawson Knox - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Tampa Bay
Dawson Knox was limited to two receptions for 14 yards last Monday night but the weather limited the passing game for both teams in Orchard Park. However, he remains a big part of the offense, especially in the red zone.

Knox faces the Buccaneers who are ranked 22nd in aFPA to tight ends. This is a part of the Tampa defense that the Bills can best exploit.

Start Knox as a top-five fantasy tight end for Week 13. The weather will be fine in FLA and Knox should have a big day.

BUF TE Dawson Knox - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. New England
Dawson Knox only had three catches last Sunday for 32 yards, but two were for touchdowns. Knox has really emerged as the second favorite target for QB Josh Allen and has been especially targeted in the red zone.

Knox faces the Patriots who are ranked fourth in aFPA to tight ends. Despite the tough matchup, Knox should still get his share of targets as New England is very good in pass defense in general. Start Knox as a solid TE1 for Week 13.

BUF TE Dawson Knox - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at New Orleans
After a slow return two games ago from injury, Dawson Knox was the best receiving option last week and seems to be back to 100% healthy. He amounted to 10 targets and eight receptions, both team-highs in a game that was otherwise very underwhelming for the Buffalo offense. He also had 80 receiving yards.

Knox has a tough matchup against New Orleans who is ranked 8th in aFPA to tight ends. However, we do think Knox is back to where he was before the injury which means we rank him a low-end TE1 for Week 12. Start him in all leagues and formats.

BUF TE Dawson Knox - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Indianapolis
It was a get your feet wet situation for Dawson Knox as he made his way back on the field after a broken hand sidelined him. Knox only had one catch, but he did play 84% of the snaps.

It's a great matchup for Knox as the Colts are ranked 30th in aFPA to tight ends. Start Knox as a low-end TE1 for Week 11. He is definitely not 100% but he will get enough fantasy numbers to help your team.

BUF TE Dawson Knox - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at New York Jets
If Dawson Knox can return this week, you might want to keep him on the bench and let him get his feet wet in the Bills offense. He ranks a TE2 against the Jets for Week 10. If he plays, next week he should move closer to his TE1 where he was for most of the season before the injury.
